About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to join our Brisbane team and deliver innovative solutions across diverse projects in sectors such as oil and gas, water, power, renewables, ports, and mining. Reporting to the Principal Civil/Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for structural design and analysis, civil works design, condition assessments, and client and project management. This role also offers the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of our team's capabilities while collaborating across disciplines to deliver multi-discipline projects.
As part of the team, you will:
1. Design, modelling and analysis of structural systems from foundations to support structures (concrete, steel, timber, etc)
2. Condition assessment of steel and concrete structures
3. Civil design including drainage, earthworks and roadworks
4. Developing and maintaining relationships with existing and new clients
5. Engage in a diverse range of projects for clients within the oil and gas, water, power, renewables, ports/material handling, metals and mining sectors
6. Project and Client Management of ongoing projects
7. Provide support to the local team in the bidding for and securing of new projects.
8. Lead and help the Principal Engineer in growing the capabilities of the team including mentoring of young engineers.
Skills And Experiences

We are looking for someone who is excited by the opportunity to contribute to the development of the C/S team's capabilities, to mentor younger engineers and to work collaboratively with our other engineering disciplines to deliver our multi-discipline projects. The ideal candidate will bring:
9. Tertiary qualifications, recognised in Australia
10. Registered professional engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) preferred
11. Chartered Engineer (or with the experience to obtain it)
12. 5-10 years' experience in a Civil Structural Engineering role in Heavy Industry, Mining, Oil & Gas or similar industry.
13. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
14. Experience using Structural Software (Space Gass, Mircostran, Limcon, RAM, Strand 7, or similar)
15. Experience in leading teams and managing clients will be highly regarded.
A requirement for this role is to complete a satisfactory pre-employment medical check and Australian police clearance.
