We are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity to join our team as the Business Manager – Education .
Skillset provides a suite of corporate services to support Skillset Senior College. The newly created Business Manager – Education role will act as the key liaison between Skillset Limited, the College Leadership Team and College Board, ensuring these services are delivered efficiently, responsively and in alignment with the College’s strategic goals. Reporting to the Skillset Limited CEO, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective delivery of education through strong financial, operational and strategic leadership and a customer service approach.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategy and Leadership – Support the Head of College and College Board in strategic planning, performance monitoring and implementation of key initiatives.
2. Facilities and Asset Management – Manage property maintenance, capital works and ensure a safe, high-quality learning environment.
3. Governance and Compliance – Lead governance processes, risk management frameworks and ensure compliance with statutory and WHS requirements.
4. Finance and HR Oversight – Coordinate financial and people services in collaboration with Skillset’s corporate teams, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
5. Marketing and Communications & Career Development services – In collaboration with Skillset’s corporate teams, oversee the execution of marketing and engagement strategies aligned with the College’s goals and support for student transitions through mentoring, work experience and post-school planning services.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
* Strong business management and/or administration background
* Proven ability to achieve results in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure, while identifying and solving complex problems and meeting deadlines
* Superior relationship building, negotiation, conflict resolution and influencing skills
* Flexibility to regularly travel across the Central and Orana region using a company-supplied vehicle, with overnight stays as required.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
* Tertiary qualifications in Business, Education or related field
* Experience in consulting, account management or similar
* Experience in Board Governance
* Experience in an Independent School
