Project Requirements
We are seeking experienced engineers for a site survey project that involves assessing and documenting information about devices and cables in server/networking rooms.
* The assigned engineer will conduct a thorough review of provided prerequisite information, brief the cable installer on rack space, layout, distribution panels, and migration to wireless first, discuss client discovery of redundant cabling, and design alternatives reviewing impact on cabling costs.
Deliverables:
* An As-Is report detailing network devices, photographs of switches, patching details, structured cabling plan, floor plans with locations of IDFs and MDFs, and available rack space.
* A High-Level Site Migration Plan proposing site migration.
Validation of WLAN Predictive Site Survey
Engineers will validate if intended Access Point can be mounted without obstacles, update the WLAN site survey report and BOM as needed, review interior building construction materials, utility service rooms, moving and non-moving obstacles affecting radio frequency propagation, and specific wireless usage areas.
Deliverables include an updated Predictive AP Placement Report and Aruba Bill of Materials for the wireless network.
Phase 2: Staging/Labeling, LAN Migration, WLAN Migration
Engineers will stage and label switches/Gateways, download software versions and configurations, hand over the switches to local cable installers, migrate the network to the To-Be design, validate the migration, perform troubleshooting, and coordinate local rollback if necessary. Hypercare is included for premium sites only.
