About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join our Corporate Finance team. Reporting to the Principal Financial Accountant, this role is primarily responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts payable function, ensuring supplier invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time. The position also provides backup support to payroll when required, ensuring continuity across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
* Processing supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
* Preparing and managing creditor payment runs
* Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
* Maintaining supplier accounts and records
* Reconciling corporate credit card transactions
* Assisting with month-end reporting and reconciliations
* Responding to supplier and internal queries professionally and efficiently
* Providing payroll processing support during leave or peak periods
* Assisting with payroll reporting and reconciliations
* Supporting compliance with statutory obligations (PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax)
About You
* Minimum 3 years' experience in an Accounts Payable or similar finance role
* Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
* Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
* Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills
* Confident communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
* Experience with accounting systems (Pronto highly desirable)
* Payroll exposure (desirable but not essential)
