Your key responsibilities:
Provide specialist, consultant‑level knowledge, expert advice and state‑wide leadership across the public health system, Queensland Health and broader government, on Health Protection and Regulation Branch matters relating to environmental health. This includes advising and influencing Executives, legislative custodians, the Minister and other key state and national partners and stakeholders.
Provide high‑level strategic leadership, expert advice and direction for the development of a One Health approach within the Health Protection and Regulation Branch, across the public health system and other agencies.
Lead the response to public health incidents in accordance with the relevant Queensland Health plans, policies and frameworks, including leading Incident Management Teams as required.
