South West Queensland Thunder FC (founded 2012) is a Toowoomba-based semi-professional soccer club competing in the National Premier Leagues Queensland.
Home games are at Clive Berghofer Stadium.
The club fields men's, women's, and youth teams, plus runs player pathways like Thunder Elevate, Accelerate, and SAP Academies.
With a strong community focus, it offers trials, clinics, and development programs, fostering talent across South West Queensland.South West Queensland Thunder FC is now looking for an experienced Sports Development Officer to join their team.The right candidate will be responsible for:Provide guidance to players by analysing performances, improving technical skills, and developing individual and team abilities.Plan match strategies, create play patterns, and evaluate game progress to enhance performance.Inspire athletes, foster discipline, and oversee structured practice sessions.Recruitment: Identify and recruit talented players and coaching staff to strengthen the club's pathway programs.Organise team entries into NPL, FQPL, and development competitions, ensuring compliance with league requirements.Promote football participation across South West Queensland by running clinics, trials, and academies (Elevate, Accelerate, SAP).
Support refereeing and enforcement of rules at matches, ensuring fair play and adherence to competition regulations.Manage sporting activities, coordinate with Football Queensland, and interpret rules to maintain high standards across all levels.What we're looking for:At least 1 year of experience as a Sports Development Officer;Ability to develop players' technical, tactical, physical, and mental skills;Skilled in reviewing match footage, statistics, and player performance to inform training and strategy.Organising team participation in NPL, FQPL, and youth programs while ensuring smooth operations.Strong skills in scheduling, reporting, and managing logistics for training and competitionsJob type: Permanent/full-timeSalary: $76,000 - $86,000
