About the Role
We are seeking a skilled professional to drive environmental approvals, consult on Part IV/EPBC regulations and thrive in a dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our clients in the mining or renewables sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support and manage environmental approvals, including those under Part IV/EPBC and government regulations.
* Provide advice and prepare approvals documentation, including regulatory applications.
* Manage biological assessments and environmental impact assessments for approval processes.
* Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external consultants to gather key information for approval submissions.
* Commission and oversee environmental surveys and studies necessary for approvals.
* Engage with government agencies and Traditional Owner groups regarding specific environmental approvals.
* Participate in government engagement to aid in obtaining approvals.
* Provide approvals advice to internal stakeholders.
* Actively contribute to knowledge sharing within the environmental approvals team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A strong understanding of environmental approvals, specifically related to Part IV/EPBC, Mining Act and other government acts.
* Experience consulting on environmental approvals and managing related documentation.
* Excellent verbal communication skills, especially in collaborative team settings and with regulators.
* Strong written communication skills for preparing detailed approvals documents.
* Developed time management and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
