About the Opportunity

The Recovery Unit at NSW Ambulance is seeking an experienced and motivated Recovery Partner to join our team in a job-share capacity within our Regional Claims portfolio.

This is a pivotal role responsible for providing expert technical advice and implementing best-practice recovery strategies to support injured workers through their workers compensation journey. You will play a key role in driving timely, safe and sustainable return to work outcomes, while fostering a culture of care, compassion and accountability.

About You

You are an experienced injury management or workers compensation professional with demonstrated expertise in managing complex physical and psychological injury claims. You thrive in high-demand environments and bring a collaborative yet self-directed approach to your work. Your strong working knowledge of workers compensation legislation, particularly as it applies to non-exempt workers, enables you to confidently provide sound, evidence-based advice.

Specifically:

* Structured and organised in working style with clear, professional and collaborative communication skills
* Demonstrated experience as a Recovery at Work Coordinator, with a genuine commitment to supporting individuals back to health and meaningful work
* The ability to operate effectively within established policies and procedures in a complex and evolving environment
* A balanced, strategic and proactive approach that delivers positive outcomes for both injured employees and the organisation
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, working collaboratively with internal teams, treating practitioners, insurers and other external partners
* A continuous improvement mindset, contributing insights to enhance recovery practices, processes and overall business performance

* No NSW Ambulance accommodation is provided.

* Employee’s currently undertaking an Extended Care Paramedic or Intensive Care Paramedic consolidation periods are eligible to apply however will need to complete all training and return of service obligations before accepting any relief/acting opportunities.

* Employee’s currently undertaking a Special Operations Team (SOT) consolidation period are not eligible to apply for positions other than SOT positions. This includes positions offered via merit selection, transfer lists or later transfer mechanism, expressions of interest or secondments.

Position Title: Recovery Partner Northern

Employment Type: Part Time Fixed Contract up to 2 years (may extend)

Salary range: $109,857 per annum to $129,624 per annum + 12% super and benefits (Health Mgr Lvl 2) - pro-rata

Location: NSW Ambulance State Operations Centre, Sydney Olympic Park. North Coast Sector Office, Coffs Harbour
