Job Title: Project Engineers & Site Engineers (Contract)

Contract Duration: 3–4 Months

About the Role
We are seeking experienced Project Engineers and Site Engineers to support the delivery of a major infrastructure project in Newcastle. This is a short-term contract opportunity (3–4 months) suited to professionals with strong structural experience and a proven background working on Transport for NSW (TfNSW) projects within Tier 1 environments.
Key Responsibilities Project Engineers
* Oversee and coordinate project delivery in line with program, budget, and quality requirements
* Manage subcontractors, procurement, and project documentation
* Ensure compliance with TfNSW specifications and standards
* Monitor progress and provide regular reporting to senior management
* Identify and mitigate project risks
Site Engineers
* Support day-to-day site operations and construction activities
* Ensure works are delivered in accordance with design drawings and specifications
* Conduct site inspections, quality assurance checks, and ITPs
* Assist with planning, scheduling, and resource coordination
* Maintain accurate site records and reporting
Essential Requirements
* Minimum 5+ years' experience in civil infrastructure projects
* Proven Tier 1 contractor experience
* Demonstrated structural construction experience (bridges, concrete structures, etc.)
* Strong experience working on TfNSW projects
* Solid understanding of Australian standards, codes, and safety regulations
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Relevant engineering qualification (Civil Engineering or similar)
Desirable
* Immediate availability or short notice period
* Previous experience working on projects in NSW
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability
