Inventory Manager Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Manager to oversee the effective management of our inventory. This role is responsible for aligning with customer demand, optimizing inventory levels, and coordinating raw material procurement.
* Monitoring and purchasing rod stocks to achieve production plans.
* Ensuring stock balances at all remote depots meet forecasted customer demand to satisfy sales and customer expectations.
* Preparing inputs for the long-term Sales and Operations planning process.
* Identifying and resolving constraints or opportunities, escalating as required.
* Preparing and coordinating the business inventory plan.
* Preparing budget spends for vendors as input to the annual budgets and monitoring them.
* Identifying opportunities to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Experience in procurement or supply chain roles.
* Hands-on experience with ERP software.
* Advanced Excel skills.
* High attention to detail.
* Ability to handle repetitive tasks (monthly and weekly planning cycles).
* Strong prioritization skills to meet deadlines.
* Certificate IV or Degree in Supply Chain or Planning (highly desirable).
