 
        
        Role Overview
This is a critical role in the management team providing vital support and assistance in delivering an effective court operation.
You will ensure the correct deployment of staff across the region, be responsible for the day-to-day performance of your team and provide key support to the Department of Justice.
Key Responsibilities
 * Liaise with Court Officials to ensure contractual requirements are met
 * Ensure suitable resources are available in the Court and Custody areas
 * Inspect and monitor court operations to ensure compliance
 * Deliver a high standard of service delivery while maintaining staff welfare safety and security
 * Ensure all warrants are checked in line with documented procedures
 * Inspect and check Court premises to ensure effectiveness and tidiness of security systems
 * Maintain emergency procedures and ensure staff are aware of their responsibility
 * Monitor the submission of incident reports within required timeframes
 * Set clear direction and objectives for direct reports
 * Contribute positively to a diverse inclusive and fair work environment free from discrimination bullying and harassment
Key Skills and Experience Required
 * Certificate III in Corrective Practice or related field
 * Control and Restraint qualified
 * Senior First Aid & CPR or equivalent
 * Demonstrated ability to read and interpret correspondence legislations and regulations
 * High level of computer skills and report writing
 * Proven experience in a leadership role
 * Collaborative management style and ability to forge productive working relationships
 * Demonstrated experience in an escort custody operational environment
 * Strong focus on safety and security awareness
 * Personable professional and objective in challenging environments
 * Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Requirements for Success
 * Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen
 * Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Federal Police Check Criminal History Check Working with Children Check
 * Ability to complete 6-weeks full-time training prior to start
 * Pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol test
 * Manual Driving Licence Desirable HR MR licence or F Extension category highly desirable
 * Willingness to travel road and air
 * Ability to maintain a reasonable level of fitness
