We currently have a new opportunity as a Document Controller within our Maritime Sustainment business based in Henderson, Perth. You will have the opportunity to have a rostered day off work through a 9 day fortnight arrangement.

**Your new role**:
An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Document Controller to make a valuable contribution and partner with our Maritime Sustainment business on the Anzac naval ship program. You will have the opportunity to join a united and engaging team, and will be employed on a twelve month fixed term contract with the potential to be extended further.
**In terms of more specific responsibilities, you will**:
- Control and distribute project documentation including the receipt, issue, registration, distribution, storage and record retention of documentation
- Baseline all tasks in the configuration management system, ensuring documentation is included and up to date
- Educate project team members on the use of the configuration management system
- Ensure the Defence project document control process is best practice and suggest improvements
- Manage the receipt and processing of data deliverables from Suppliers, Subcontractors or the Customer
- Ensure configuration management data and metadata is accurate, current and complete
- Assist in identifying and resolving configuration management problems, and particularly any related to data and document control
- Collaborate effectively and develop strong relationships with range of stakeholders
About you
**As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have**:
- Defence industry experience or Document Controller/Project Administration experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience utilising various computer systems and databases
- Good attention to detail and good communication skills with the ability to develop effective relationships with stakeholders
- Good problem solving skills and demonstrate initiative
Whilst not essential, recent Defence industry experience, would be highly regarded.
Clearances
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
