Overview

St Paul’s Catholic College, Booragul is seeking a Permanent, Full-Time Secondary Legal Studies/Economics/HSIE/Religious Studies Teacher, commencing January 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students in Legal Studies and Economics, helping them develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and a real-world understanding of law, society, and financial systems.

Note: This role is for a Permanent, Full-Time Secondary Legal Studies and Economics/HSIE/Religious Studies Teacher.

Responsibilities

- Deliver Legal Studies and Economics curriculum, engaging students with practical, real-world examples.

- Encourage students to think critically, debate ideas, and make informed decisions about law, society, and the economy.

- Use innovative teaching strategies to make lessons interactive, relevant, and inspiring.

- Collaborate with a passionate faculty committed to high-quality teaching, learning, and student support.

- Be enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and passionate about preparing students to be informed, capable, and confident young adults.

- Join St Paul’s and help students explore the law, understand economics, and engage with the world around them in meaningful ways.

Desired Skills and Experience

EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA

- Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic Education and to actively supporting the Catholic ethos and culture of the school.

For Primary or Religion Teaching positions you must also be Catholic.

- Ability to plan and prepare contemporary and compliant teaching programs and assessments in nominated areas, meeting diverse student needs and learning styles.

- Demonstrated ability to effectively utilise assessment and school data to optimise educational outcomes.

- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with school staff and the wider community to establish productive partnerships and achieve educational outcomes.

- Demonstrate an cutting-edge and agile mindset that supports continuous improvement within the school environment.

Qualifications

- Qualifications as a four-year trained teacher
- Active NESA Accreditation
- Current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Completion of anaphylaxis training
- Completion of CPR training

Salary is in accordance with New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2023.
