About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and energetic Bottle Shop Attendant to join our team at Young Cellars. You will be the face of our store, providing excellent customer service, sharing product knowledge, and ensuring the shop is well-stocked and inviting.
Key Responsibilities
* Customer Service: Greet customers, assist with product selection (wine, beer, spirits), and process transactions via the POS system.
* Compliance: Strictly adhere to Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) guidelines, including checking IDs to ensure no sales to minors or intoxicated persons.
* Stock Management: Unpack deliveries, stock shelves, rotate inventory (FIFO), and maintain organized cool rooms.
* Store Upkeep: Ensure the shop floor and service areas are clean, tidy, and professionally presented at all times.
* Manual Handling: Regularly lift and move heavy cartons of beer and wine.
Requirements
* Must be 18+ years of age.
* Current RSA Certificate (compulsory).
* Previous experience in retail or hospitality is preferred but not essential.
* Strong communication skills and a friendly, "can-do" attitude.
* Physical fitness to handle manual tasks and long periods of standing.
* Availability to work a rotating roster including nights and weekends.
