About The Team
The Civil Green Team is responsible for delivering some of Council's civil/green and streetscape projects. Some of the projects that are being delivered now are Chelmsford Street Open space, Pocket Parks - Miles & Dodd St Reserve and Pocket Park - Chapman Street among others.
About The Role
We are seeking enthusiastic, driven, and innovative people to help us turn our goals into actions. The Senior Project Managers within the Civil team are responsible for the planning of projects, feasibility and option analysis, design procurement, engagement and management of design consultants, tendering and procurement of contractors, tender evaluations, contract administration, construction delivery, internal and external stakeholder engagement, risk analysis within a Project Management Framework.

About You
You are a proactive and motivated project leader with a passion for delivering high quality civil, green, and streetscape infrastructure that enhances community spaces. With strong experience in end to end project management, you thrive in environments where your strategic thinking, problem solving abilities, and technical expertise can drive projects from concept through to construction.
You are confident managing feasibility assessments, analysing design options, engaging specialist consultants, and overseeing procurement processes with rigour and transparency. Your contract administration skills are complemented by your ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and maintain positive, productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
You bring a collaborative mindset, excellent communication skills, and a high level of professionalism to every stage of the project lifecycle. Whether navigating complex risks, leading consultant teams, or ensuring successful on site delivery, you consistently demonstrate sound judgement, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering sustainable and impactful outcomes for the community.
What Your Experience Might Look Like
* You must hold an appropriate tertiary qualification in civil engineering, building or equivalent experience.
* Minimum 3-5 years proven experience in project management delivering projects (related to design and construction activities) in a diverse organisation with multiple stakeholders.
* Proven ability to concurrently manage multiple projects on time, to budget and to client satisfaction within a structured reporting framework.
* Well-developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with experience in drafting correspondence, procurement documentation and briefing senior management and elected representatives on project matters within a government environment.
* A "can-do" attitude and thrive on solving problems in a complex, fast-moving environment.
