We are establishing our current corporate headquarters in Adelaide, centralising key support functions as part of an exciting transformation of our business.Role DetailsRole – We are seeking a data analyst to join our Group Information Technology team based in Adelaide.
This role plays a critical part in delivering Perilya's modern data platform and enhancing operational efficiency, safety, and productivity by making data accessible and understandable to stakeholders across all sites.The role is responsible for understanding the business needs in Business Intelligence, analyzing data; addressing data issues, creating actionable insights and communicating the finds to stakeholders.What You'll Be DoingSupport the data platform implementation.Act as the lead Power BI expert, designing and developing highly interactive and visually compelling dashboards and reports for business stakeholders.Translate business requirements into technical data solutions, ensuring that reports and dashboards meet the needs of stakeholders in different departments (e.g., operations, safety, finance).
Proactively identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to uncover insights that can lead to operational improvements.Serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders on data-related inquiries and report development.Communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences, providing data-driven recommendations.Conduct training sessions and create documentation to empower users to leverage Power BI and other reporting tools.Perform data cleansing, reconciliation, and validation to ensure the accuracy and consistency of datasets.What You Will BringAt least 4 years of experience in a data analysis or business intelligence role.Experience in administrating SharePoint Online and Power Automate.Proven, expert-level proficiency in using Power BI for reporting and visualization.Strong experience with SQL for data querying and manipulation.Experience with DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) to create custom calculations and measures in Power BI.Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or R for data analysis and automation.Relevant certifications, such as the Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Analyst Associate.How to ApplyIf you are a technically capable Data Analyst ready to make an impact in a centralised Group IT function, we welcome your application.
