About The Role

MacKillop Family Services is on the lookout for compassionate, reliable people to join our Out of Home Care team on a casual basis. In this role, you'll support children and young people with complex needs in a warm, therapeutic residential home.

Create Meaningful Change Every Day

As a Residential Youth Care Worker, you'll help create a safe, stable, and supportive environment. You'll be there for day‐to‐day care as well as emotional support, helping young people build confidence, resilience, and important life skills.

Key Selection Criteria

* A Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or if you hold a similar or relevant qualification such as a Diploma of Community Services, Social Work, or another related tertiary qualification you're also encouraged to apply.
* A genuine interest in young people and their wellbeing.
* Demonstrate empathy for young people in our care in an open minded and nonjudgmental manner.
* Highly developed capacity for emotional self‐regulation including the capacity to set and maintain consistent boundaries to provide safety, stability and consistency.

* Competitive Hourly Rate in the SCHADS Award Level 2-3, dependent on qualification and experience.

You Must Have a

* First Aid Certification (with minimum 6 month validity)
* Valid and current Driver's Licence;
* Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
* Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
* Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (for risk assessed / client facing roles). MacKillop can assist successful candidates with their application.
