Job Overview
The Head Chef plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality food services within the facility.
Responsibilities include planning, preparation, and presentation of meals that cater to individual dietary needs, preferences, and cultural requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Possess a Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or equivalent qualification.
* Hold a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Chef or Cook Manager, preferably in an aged care environment.
* Completion of Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, in line with NSW Food Authority requirements.
* Demonstrated understanding of HACCP & Food Safety legislative requirements.
* Excellent working knowledge of budget management and cost control.
* Previous experience in menu planning, stock control, food preparation, and dietary/nutrition requirements of vulnerable people.
* Ability to monitor and supervise staff performance and development.
* Demonstrated commitment to implementing EEO, Infection Control, Continuous Improvement, and WH&S principles.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
