Antenatal and Intrapartum Midwifery Specialist
As a Clinical Midwifery Specialist (CMS) you will deliver quality women-centered care, develop standards of practice, implement changes to clinical practice and initiate research and quality improvement activities.
You will work as part of the healthcare team participating in working parties or committees as required and demonstrate a commitment to continuous quality improvement.
The CMS is also responsible for antenatal and postnatal care, developing policies and guidelines, and ensuring adherence to legislative obligations.
* Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife with a minimum of five years' relevant post-registration qualifications and extensive experience working in the provision of antenatal, intrapartum, and post-natal midwifery services.
* Evidence of clinical leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework to plan, deliver, and coordinate women's and newborns' care.
* Demonstrated ability to apply advanced clinical expertise in relation to clinical midwifery practice and independently make decisions that support positive outcomes for women and newborns.
* Demonstrated commitment to excellence in midwifery practice, the provision of education to others, and own professional development.
