THE ROLE
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Cook/Chef to assist in preparing meals for our busy kitchen at our Summer Hill Facility.
Description
Prepare and cook meals as indicated in our 4 weekly menu using documented and standardised recipes supplied as directed and applicable.
You will be responsible for cooking and plating meals and ensure appropriate portion control, visual appearance and texture compliance of all meals served are met.
In the absence of the head chef, you will be required to manage and lead the kitchen team and adhere to all HACCP standards and regulations.
Requirements
Able to work Monday to Sunday Previous experience in aged care is preferred
Cert III, IV in commercial cookery and completion of a Food Safety Supervisor certificate (or willing to obtain)
Experience in nutritional dietary requirements including texture modified meals
Current police and NDIS check, Covid and Flu vaccinations
