They are now seeking an experienced
Senior
Commercial and Property Manager
who will be responsible for overseeing and optimising Workskil Australia's commercial operations.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a Senior, National role where commercial expertise directly supports meaningful social impact. You will operate at a strategic level, partnering closely with the Executive team and their teams to shape and optimise a diverse national property, leasing, procurement and facilities portfolio. You will influence outcomes, lead complex negotiations and drive value across the organisation while supporting better employment outcomes for people and communities across Australia.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this senior leadership role is responsible for providing strategic commercial oversight while ensuring operational delivery aligns with Workskil's standards, values and objectives.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Provide strategic oversight of all leasing activities, including acquisition, renewal, and termination of leases for company properties.
* Negotiate lease terms and ensure compliance with legal, financial, and operational standards.
* Manage high level relationships with landlords, tenants, and property managers.
* Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals and budgetary constraints.
* Lead supplier selection, contract negotiations, and performance evaluations to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
* Oversee the procurement lifecycle tendering, evaluation, contract award, and vendor management.
* Provide strategic oversight of fleet management, including commercial negotiation, fleet contracts, and organisation fleet strategy.
* Ensure the Facilities team is delivering against key commercial, contractual, and operational performance standards set by Workskil Australia.
* Provide commercial direction for the sourcing and establishment of new sites, with the National Facilities Manager responsible for execution.
* Ensure asset management frameworks are in place, with regular reporting on assets performance, lifecycle costs, and compliance.
Skills and Experience
* Relevant tertiary qualifications.
* Proven senior experience in commercial management, procurement and/or contract administration.
* Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage complex commercial and contractual arrangements.
* Strong analytical, financial and organisational skills.
* Sound knowledge of leasing, procurement and insurance principles.
* Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups.
* Demonstrated people leadership experience, with the ability to build, motivate and lead high-performing teams.
