Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of School Support Service to lead and coordinate the delivery of support services across all Ballarat Clarendon College campuses (ELC-Year 12). This is a pivotal leadership role within our operations team, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
The successful applicant will provide centralised coordination and managerial oversight of a diverse team responsible for essential school services. This includes workflow management, records and document control, event coordination and compliance activities. The role requires exceptional organisational skills, strategic thinking and the ability to balance daily operational demands with long-term process and system improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading and supervising the School Support Services team, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience for all stakeholders.
* Managing workflows, job request systems, and annual planning to optimise efficiency.
* Overseeing key operational functions such as bus transportation, catering and correspondence distribution.
* Coordinating major school events, including parent information evenings, tertiary sessions and VCE/VCAL reporting periods.
* Driving continuous improvement initiatives in systems and processes.
* Ensuring compliance with internal and external legislative requirements for examinations and assessments.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualification Requirements
* Postgraduate qualification in a business-related field relevant to education.
* Demonstrated experience in leadership and operational management within a complex organisation.
* Strong ability to identify and implement process improvements.
* Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
* High attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
* Commitment to child safety and adherence to legislative requirements.
* Valid Working with Children Check, National Police Check and current Victorian Driver's Licence.
