We have an opportunity for an experienced Planning Development Manager role to join our Victorian Land Lease Communities (LLC) Team. These are typically comprising of freestanding homes, clubhouses and recreational facilities (pools, bowling greens, etc). The Opportunity - About the Role Reporting directly to the General Manager, Stockland Halcyon Victoria this role is responsible for supporting the strategic growth of LLC in Victoria. In this role you will achieve approval of major pipeline projects and review of new business opportunities. Your responsibilities will include: Manage all aspects of the front end of project delivery approvals including; Design development and preparation of Development Applications to Financial performance – reporting, budgeting, programming and risk assessment. Take a leadership role to ensure a project culture of design thinking, customer focus and cross-divisional collaboration is fostered leveraging Stockland's mixed use capabilities. Collaborate across States to gain an understanding of how the planning systems vary to assist in discussions with the relevant governing bodies. Obtaining all required current and future approvals; and Monitor market and competitor activity constantly in relation to the direction and performance of the project(s), implement product changes in conjunction with members of the cross functional project team when applicable to maintain competitiveness. Engage directly with and manage relationships across Stockland with the key stakeholder groups including but not limited to: State/Local Government approval authorities, consultants, contractors, community groups/stakeholders, and builder partners to achieve required outcomes in a manner that enhances the image and reputation of Stockland. About You You are strategic thinker with reputable experience in Front-end development ideally having worked from the Government and Developer side. You will have exceptional skills in masterplanning and taking projects from visioning through to construction commencement. A confident presenter and subject matter expert you will be able to work with a variety of stakeholders to support Stockland to achieve desired outcomes. You will be commercially minded with a strong understanding of the development industry with a focus on key drivers and the ability to tailor the product mix to suit varying market trends/consumer sentiment.
