We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Before and After School Care Educator to join our team at Honour Early Learning, Beenleigh. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children during out-of-school hours. You will work collaboratively with fellow educators to support the social, emotional, and educational development of each child.

Key Responsibilities:
Supervision & Safety:
* Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
* Monitor children's activities and maintain a secure environment.
Program Planning & Implementation:
* Develop and implement age-appropriate activities and programs that promote learning and play.
* Organise and lead recreational and educational activities, including arts and crafts, games, and outdoor play.
Child Development Support:
* Create a positive and inclusive environment that encourages social interaction, teamwork, and respect among children.
* Identify and address the individual needs of children, providing support as necessary.
Communication & Engagement:
* Maintain open and effective communication with children, parents, and colleagues.
* Provide regular updates to parents about their child's progress and daily activities.
Administrative Duties:
* Assist in maintaining records related to attendance, incidents, and child development.
* Follow all policies and procedures related to health, safety, and child protection.
Qualifications:
* Completed Certificate 3 or Diploma in School Aged Education and Care, Early Childhood Education and Care, Teacher Aide, Youth Work, Community Services, Disability Support, Human Services and/or Education Support
* 1-year full-time equivalent in studying any of the following qualifications: Primary, Secondary or Special Education, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Diversional Therapy, Speech Pathology, Creative Arts, Fine Arts, Drama, Music, Sport and Recreation
* Paid Blue Card
* Previous experience in childcare, particularly in before and after school care settings, is preferred.
* Current First Aid and CPR certification.
