The Children's Services team delivers education and care to over 400 children each week. Education and care is delivered through two Council owned centres. City of Melbourne is committed to being a child safe organisation and has zero tolerance for child abuse. 
The Children’s Services Administration Officer s is a critical role in supporting the operational efficiency of the administrative, finance and reporting procedures for the children’s centres. The Children’s Services Administrative Officer will be expected to function effectively within a complex, multi-faceted work setting with both internal and external relationships. 
The Children’s Services Administration Officer will work with the Children’s Centre Coordinators and the Children’s Services Leadership Group assisting with the day to day operational running of the Children’s Services team through administrative support. This will include management of the children’s centre registration list, data collection, liaising with and providing resources to internal and external stakeholders and ensuring data is current and up to date.

In addition, the Children’s Service Administration Officer will have: 
- Knowledge of the QikKids child care management process for fee processing would be an advantage. 
- Solid computer literacy and knowledge of general office systems including spread sheet and database management. 
- Demonstrated ability to produce high quality written communication and well developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills. 
- Previous Local Government experience - advantageous but not required. 
- Previous experience and/ or qualifications in Business Administration/ Education - advantageous but not required
