PhD Position in International Law and Military Operations
The Faculty of Law at the University of Copenhagen offers a fully-funded PhD position in International Law & Military Operations, a unique opportunity to research contemporary legal issues in an intellectually stimulating environment.
This PhD position is distinctive due to its partnership with the Royal Danish Defense College (RDDC). The PhD student will split time between the two institutions, working closely with a co-supervisor from RDDC.
About the PhD Programme
The PhD scholarship is salaried, providing excellent career prospects for candidates. Start date is negotiable.
The goal of the PhD Programme is threefold: to prepare candidates for a continuing career in teaching and research; to educate a new generation of scholars to produce high-quality independent research; and to equip them with analytical and problem-solving skills for success in both public and private sectors.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates pursuing a PhD fellowship in International Law and Military Operations must meet the following requirements:
* Available for domestic and international students.
* Applicants must have a degree equivalent to a Danish Master's degree in law.
* Minimum overall grade average of 8.2 or above at the master's level.
* Applicants may submit their application before completing their Master's Degree.
* Aptitude for research demonstrated through thesis, publications, or academic recommendations.
* Excellent language skills in English and communication skills.
