Job Title
A seasoned Technology Systems and Network Architect is sought after to spearhead the hands-on delivery of resilient network environments, secure remote access, compute infrastructure, and cybersecurity uplift initiatives across operational networks.
This field-engaged role requires a technically strong engineer who thrives across OT/IT environments, understands the real-world needs of plant operations, and can align solutions to business-critical uptime requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver robust, secure infrastructure across diverse energy sites
* Deploy and manage high-performance compute systems and network equipment (Cisco, Palo Alto, VMware)
* Enhance SCADA communication and OT security in alignment with industry compliance standards
* Lead physical hardware deployments, rack/cabling work, and remote access controls
* Collaborate with site leads, SCADA teams, cyber and operational technology groups
* Proactively monitor systems, resolve faults, and minimize business disruption
* Maintain infrastructure documentation, performance reports, and change control records
Ideal Background:
* 5+ years' experience in systems/network engineering within utilities, OT, or industrial environments
* Strong understanding of routing/switching (VLANs, OSPF, BGP, spanning tree, link aggregation)
* Proficiency in Microsoft platforms (Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy), VMware, and SAN technologies
* Experience with firewalls and remote access platforms (e.g., BeyondTrust, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto)
* Familiarity with backup/disaster recovery (e.g., Veeam) and OS hardening/security practices
* Comfortable working at operational sites (substations, generation, industrial plants)
* Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills
