About the role
MSF Sugar is seeking a highly talented and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team in Gordonvale, Queensland. In this full-time permanent role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the organisation's strategic financial objectives and ongoing success.
What you'll be doing
* Prepare monthly and annual financial accounts, reports and statements to a high standard
* Analyse complex financial data and provide meaningful insights to senior stakeholders
* Lead the implementation and maintenance of effective financial control systems and procedures
* Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting policies and processes
* Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts and other financial planning activities
* Provide accounting and financial advisory services to operational business units
* Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax laws and other regulatory requirements
* Support the month-end and year-end reporting processes
* Mentor and develop more junior members of the finance team
What we're looking for
* Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance
* CPA or CA qualification
* Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in a senior accounting role
* Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, accounting standards and tax compliance
* Proficient in the use of enterprise accounting systems and data analysis tools
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
