Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in our office in Petersham NSW 2049. The Mid-Senior Structural/Remedial Engineer will oversee structural design, conduct detailed structural analyses, and prepare reports for robust engineering solutions. Their responsibilities will include supervising projects, performing calculations, ensuring compliance with building codes, collaborating with architects and construction teams and utilising CAD software for structural planning and development.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director, the role will encompass design, building assessment, documentation, specification preparation and project management.
* Apply structural engineering principles and software to the design and assessment of steel, concrete, timber and masonry structures.
* Undertake site inspections and provide technical input during design and construction.
* Manage projects through to completion, ensuring compliance with programme, budget and quality requirements.
* Prepare engineering documentation including drawings, reports and specifications.
* Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and authorities to support effective project delivery.
* Provide technical support to the team and contribute to quality assurance processes.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
* A degree in Structural Engineering from an Australian university.
* 10+ years consultancy experience preferably within the remedial industry.
* Strong technical knowledge with the ability to manage your own work and assist the team.
* Proficiency in CAD software.
* Excellent knowledge of Australian Standards.
* Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
* The ability to promote the firm with utmost professionalism at all times
