Sous Chef
Edge Hill Tavern – We are looking for a Sous Chef to serve as the right hand to our Head Chef, capable of running the kitchen when the Head Chef is not present and creating memorable food while ensuring operations run smoothly.
Responsibilities
* Key part of the leadership team, supporting the Head Chef to ensure every service is flawless.
* Take charge of shifts, mentor the team and maintain kitchen standards.
* Inspire the crew with expertise and a can‐do attitude, ensuring every plate is a work of art.
Inherent Requirements
* Hands‐on role that involves manual handling and lifting (e.g., moving stock, kegs, deliveries). Must be able to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
Qualifications
* Solid experience as a Sous Chef in a high‐volume pub or similar setting.
* Up‐to‐date cooking credentials and food safety certifications.
* Strong leadership skills, commanding respect with professionalism and calmness.
* Passion for creating delicious food that keeps customers coming back.
