We're a multifaceted and growing regional health system providing a comprehensive array of health care services to the East Gippsland community.
The BRHS Medical Services Directorate is comprised of five clinical disciplines: Internal Medicine, General Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Rehabilitation Medicine, and Surgery, with a strong senior medical workforce enabling the provision of services across a broad spectrum of care.
This role offers a great opportunity to complete your training as part of a small team of highly skilled professionals, enabling you to receive dedicated and personalised training and support.
You will benefit from exposure to a broad range of presentations, as well as regular education and training opportunities.
In this role, you'll provide high-quality patient assessment and management with direction and support from the Consultant Rehabilitation Physician.

GP trainees who would like to complete an extended skills term, or who are considering experience or training in rehabilitation medicine, are welcome to apply.

* Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (or equivalent)

* Undertaking Advanced Training with the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (highly regarded), or intending to join the training program on commencement of employment
* High-level interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, carers, and workers, and to liaise with a wide range of service providers while working efficiently in a multidisciplinary team
* Demonstrated interest in pursuing regionally based specialist training
* Previous experience or training in rehabilitation medicine is desirable
