Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accountant based in the Greater Newcastle Area.
Responsibilities
* Preparing financial statements
* Managing tax compliance and reporting
* Analyzing financial data
* Processing payroll
* Assisting with audits
* Collaborating with clients to ensure adherence to government regulations and providing practical financial advice to support their business goals
Qualifications
* Strong accounting and financial reporting skills, including the ability to prepare financial statements and handle tax compliance
* Proficient in payroll processing, bookkeeping, and general ledger reconciliation
* Analytical thinking and expertise in financial data analysis
* Experience with accounting software and tools
* Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills
* In-depth understanding of Australian tax laws and regulations (preferred)
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
* CPA or equivalent certification (preferred but not required)
* Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
