ITSM Specialist – Service Transition & Operational Readiness
Location: Flexible / Enterprise Environment (must be based in Australia)
Contract: 12 months
We're looking for an experienced ITSM Specialist to support service transition and operational readiness across a portfolio of IT initiatives. This contract role sits at the intersection of service design, governance, and project delivery, ensuring new and changed services are fully operational, compliant, and ready for BAU before go-live.
What you'll be doing
* Own and apply service transition and operational readiness governance across multiple projects
* Define and assess service acceptance criteria, readiness checkpoints, and go/no-go recommendations
* Ensure monitoring, SLAs, support models, documentation, and training are in place pre-launch
* Engage early with delivery teams to shape requirements from an operational perspective
* Act as the bridge between project teams and operational support functions
* Identify risks, gaps, and dependencies and drive actions to achieve BAU readiness
* Support continuous improvement of transition frameworks and practices
What we're looking for
* Strong ITIL 4 knowledge (Service Transition, Service Design, Change Enablement, CM, Continual Improvement)
* Proven experience delivering operational readiness for medium to large IT projects
* Ability to interpret solution designs and translate them into service and support requirements
* Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and communication skills
* Strong governance mindset with a pragmatic, solution-focused approach
* Experience working in complex, enterprise IT environments
