*The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Nursing Director (Specialist Medical Services) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Provide a high level of leadership and management of nursing/ midwifery staff
Ensure that financial and human resources are effectively managed
Lead the strategic direction of a multidisciplinary workforce
Develop leadership capability and support professional development, education and research
Analyse and address variances in expected targets, audits reviews, and survey results
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

About Us
The Specialist Medical Clinical Business Unit is responsible for the management of Cardiology (Inpatient units, Cardiac Catheter Suite and outpatient services), Renal Services (Inpatient Units, Dialysis and outpatient service), Neurology (Inpatient Unit and outpatient services), and Forensic Medical Services managed across the Hospital and Health Services at Robina Hospital, Gold Coast University Hospital, Southport Health Precinct, and Tugun Satellite Health Centre.
