The Opportunity
Techforce Personnel are seeking an experienced S26 Maintenance Supervisor with a strong Heavy Duty Fitter background to join a Tier1 contractor on a major gold operation. The role is a leadership position where you will guide a dedicated maintenance team to ensure the reliability and performance of a large fleet of heavy earthmoving equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise a team of HD Fitters and maintenance personnel, driving a strong safety culture and high‐quality workmanship.
* Plan, schedule, and oversee the preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs of heavy earthmoving equipment.
* Provide hands‐on diagnostics and technical support to your team, troubleshooting complex mechanical issues.
* Ensure all maintenance activities, service records, and work orders are accurately documented in the site's maintenance system.
* Mentor and develop your crew, conducting performance evaluations and identifying training needs to build team capability.
* Liaise with the planning and operations departments to coordinate equipment availability and minimise downtime.
Key Requirements
* Australian Recognised Trade Qualification (Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter / Mechanic essential).
* Proven experience in a supervisor role on site within a heavy‐duty maintenance environment.
* Extensive hands‐on experience with heavy earthmoving equipment (experience with Komatsu, Cat, or Hitachi fleets highly regarded).
* S26 (Schedule26) Supervisor qualification.
* Current C Class Driver's Licence (HR desirable).
* Strong computer literacy, including experience with a CMMS (e.g., Pronto, SAP, or similar).
* Ability to pass a comprehensive pre‐employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen.
* A valid National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
