The Training Advisor will plan, develop, and coordinate effective training and competency programs across BCI operations, ensuring workforce capability is aligned with organisational goals, industry best practice, and regulatory standards.

The Company

BCI Minerals is a values-driven company developing sustainable minerals for the modern world.

We are rapidly progressing the Mardie Salt Operation and Potash Project (Mardie Operation), a tier 1 solar evaporation project that will supply high-purity industrial salt and sulphate of potash (SOP) for more than 60 years.

Mardie will be the largest salt operation in Australia and the third largest globally. With first salt on ship on track to be achieved late next year, BCI Minerals is just at the beginning of its journey to become a key player in a multitude of globally significant sustainable opportunities.

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on training professional to lead the delivery and continuous improvement of all operations-based training up at our Mardie site. In this role, you'll assess training needs, develop practical learning materials, and ensure all training materials meet organisational and regulatory standards.

You'll design and deliver engaging training, from site inductions and safety programs to operator assessments and Verification of Competency (VOC) sessions. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll plan and coordinate training schedules, recommend external courses, and evaluate the effectiveness of training delivered. You'll also play a key role in strengthening BCI's training capability to support our future growth.

About You:

The successful candidate will hold a strong background in training and operations, backed by practical industry experience and a commitment to continuous learning. You hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and have at least five years?' experience in mining or processing operations. You will have proven capability in developing, reviewing, and maintaining high-quality training documentation.

Your hands-on experience training and assessing across a variety of mobile plant and equipment (including VOCs) demonstrates your ability to build workforce competence and confidence. The successful candidate will be able to maintain Learning Management Systems (LMS) and be confident in applying modern training and assessment practices. With strong computer skills across Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint) and proficiency in eLearning tools such as Articulate, you?re comfortable using technology to enhance learning outcomes.

Your qualifications will include a current High Risk Work Licence (Forklift - LF), Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver's Licence, and mobile plant tickets such as Telehandler, Excavator, and Skid Steer. Experience in the salt industry will be highly regarded, as will the ability to operate and maintain 4WD vehicles and familiarity with INX Learning Management Systems.

The successful candidate will be required to provide a national police clearance that is not older than 3 months and you must hold a WA White Card.You must have current unrestricted working rights for Australia to be eligible for consideration.
