This is a senior finance role for someone who likes being close to the business, close to decisions and close to the numbers.
You will lead finance for a privately owned food group with manufacturing, company-owned retail and franchise operations. It is complex enough to be commercially interesting, but personal enough for your work to be seen and valued.
You will have a genuine seat at the executive table, working directly with the CEO, Board and senior leaders to improve reporting, cash flow visibility, margins and financial accountability.

What You Will Be Working On
Your focus will be to strengthen financial control, reporting discipline and commercial insight across the group.
You will lead monthly reporting, board packs, variance analysis and commentary that helps leaders understand what is happening and what action is required.
You will also improve budgeting, forecasting and cash flow processes, giving the CEO, Board and banking stakeholders stronger visibility and confidence.
Key priorities include:
* Ownership of financial control environment, including compliance, cashflow management, forecasting, budgeting and debt covenant monitoring.
* Ensure audit readiness and maintain strong governance over payroll and statutory obligations.
* Deliver accurate and timely monthly reporting, including board packs, with clear performance insights and accountability.
* Lead manufacturing costing, margin analysis and product profitability to support commercial decision-making.
* Lead the finance team, driving process improvement and capability building across the function.
What Type of Person Will Be Successful
You are a calm, practical and commercially minded finance leader. You bring authority without ego, and you know how to balance accuracy with timely decision-making.
You may currently be a Financial Controller, Group Financial Controller, Head of Finance or senior finance leader ready for a broader operating role.
You will bring:
* CA or CPA qualification.
* Senior finance experience in a hands-on operating business.
* Manufacturing finance experience, ideally with product costing and margin drivers.
* Exposure to franchise, food retail, FMCG, multi-site retail or similar complexity.
* Strong reporting, forecasting, cash flow and financial control capability.
* Confidence working with CEOs, Boards, banks, operational teams and non-finance stakeholders.
Because this is a hands-on leadership role connected to manufacturing and operations, regular on-site presence is expected. It will best suit someone who lives within a realistic commute and does not want a mostly remote role.
