Metro South Child and Youth Mental Health Service(CYMHS) are looking for a Clinical Nurse to join their team. The Acute Response Team within CYMHS provides comprehensive and flexible specialist mental health assessment and liaison service to the Logan Hospital and Redland Hospital Emergency Department, in regards to children, adolescents and their families/carers in accordance with professional, ethical and National Mental Health Standards. The role will be the delivery of specialist acute mental health assessment services for children, adolescents and their carers who present to the Logan Hospital Emergency Department.

About The Role
The Clinical Nurse is responsible for delivering quality nursing care at an advanced level, within the Metro South Child and Youth Mental Health Service. The primary clinical role will be the delivery of specialist acute mental health assessment services for children, adolescents and their carers who present to the Logan Hospital Emergency Department. This position will be required to work extended hours (up to 9:00pm) or as required by operational needs. This service endeavours to improve patient flow reduce length of stay and enhance the experience and service satisfaction for children, adolescents and their carers presenting to the Emergency Department with acute mental health concerns.
The Clinical Nurse provides direction and support to other nursing staff while promoting professional standards of practice and conduct and is responsible for supporting and facilitating the achievement of service goals and standards.
