Job Description
Are you an experienced HSE Advisor ready to step into a fast-paced project environment? ReGroupis seeking a proactive and safety-focused HSE Advisor to join our team on a 2:2FIFO roster, supporting critical HSE functions.
This role forms part of a field-based HSE team supporting a project in regional WA. Working a 2:2FIFO roster.You'll be joining a collaborative site team with a dedicated back-to-back HSE Advisor to ensure continuous support and HSE coverage. Site being 1.5 hour drive fromBroome, WA.
You'll play a vital role in ensuring full compliance with reGroup and client HSE requirements, supporting operational teams, and driving a strong, positive safety culture across site activities. Key areas of responsibility include:
* Ensure alignment with Maramara and client HSE Management Systems.
* Track and support progress against HSE targets and KPIs.
* Review and update Risk Registers, CRAW, JHAs, and Safe Work Instructions.
* Promote the use of Take 5s and ensure timely hazard close-out.
* Support implementation of Safe Systems of Work and mobilisation/demobilisation risk controls.
* Assist with incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action close-out.
* Ensure reporting obligations (e.g. notifiable incidents) are met.
* Lead Toolbox Talks, pre-starts, and HSEQ meetings.
* Maintain safety noticeboards and site communication tools.
* Uphold safety rights including the right to cease unsafe work.
Training & Inductions
* Manage and maintain the Project Training Matrix.
* Deliver site-specific HSE inductions and competency verification (e.g. VOCs).
* Conduct training audits and maintain accurate records.
Inspections & Audits
* Conduct regular site inspections and behaviour-based observations.
* Ensure timely action on identified issues and drive continual improvement.
* Assist in reviewing Emergency Response Plans and conducting emergency drills.
* Support compliance with environmental and Aboriginal heritage requirements.
* Oversee subcontractor compliance with HSE standards.
* Participate in onboarding and review of risk assessments and training records.
* Prepare Monthly Safety Reports and track HSE performance metrics.
* Report safety trends and provide updates to project and client teams.
What You Bring:
* Minimum Certificate IV in Occupational Health, Safety & Environment (HSE).
* Prior experience as an HSE Advisor on FIFO or remote projects.
* Strong understanding of HSE legislation and systems.
* Confidence to lead, engage with teams, and influence safe behaviours.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Trainer Assessor qualification is beneficial but not essential.
