Position
We are inviting applications for the role of Health Promotion Officer. This role is available as a Permanent / Fixed Term / Casual appointment with flexible hours and the possibility of extensions.
About the role
This role is located at the Wheatbelt Aboriginal Health Service and works closely with the Manager, key stakeholders and community representatives to develop, plan, implement, research and evaluate tobacco control and healthy lifestyle health promotion programs for Aboriginal people serviced by the Wheatbelt Aboriginal Health Service. The incumbent is expected to comply with all relevant policies, procedures, standards, and legislation, including confidentiality, work health and safety, and the WA Country Health Service Code of Conduct.
Eligibility and Conditions of Appointment
Applicants must have a valid working visa for fixed‐term appointments or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa that allows living and working indefinitely in Australia for permanent appointments. All applicants are required to undergo a criminal records screening, integrity check, and may also need a working‐with‐children check and a pre‐employment health assessment.
