About this opportunity
As the Manager Property and Projects, you will lead and manage the strategic direction, planning and delivery of Council's property portfolio and projects. You will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable, efficient, and innovative approaches to property management, facilities, and project delivery to support Council's long-term objectives.
The position is based in Beaudesert, but you may be required to work from any of Council's offices (Boonah and Tamborine Mountain) or facilities within the Scenic Rim.
Additionally, you'll also …
* Establish and lead delivery of Council's Property management function, including acquisition, divestments, commercial and community leasing agreement, ensuring alignment and Council's objective.
* Manage and lead Councils facilities management and maintenance functions, including contracts.
* Manage and lead Councils management of public open spaces, including Parks, Gardens and Cemeteries.
* Provide input and leadership in procurement, management, and disposal of Council property related assets.
* Provide management of Council's internal resources, including staff allocation, budget management and customer relations management to ensure efficient and effective delivery of council services.
About you…
* A degree or appropriate tertiary qualifications in Property Management, Project Management, Business Management, Engineering, or suitable and substantial experience relevant to the role.
* Demonstrated experience and proficiency in contract and property management with awareness of effective project delivery and achievement of results on time and within budget.
* Demonstrated understanding and application of contemporary management practices and principles
* Demonstrated high-level communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage and interface effectively across public and private sector environments.
