The primary purpose of the House Manager – SIL position is to ensure the effective management and operation of the SIL home. You will play a pivotal role in creating a protected, inclusive and supportive environment that empowers the residents to achieve their goals and engage in their communities. Through robust leadership, compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and a commitment to person-centred care, you will help deliver a high-quality and welcoming home environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor and develop a team of support workers
* Drive a positive team culture focused on quality care
* Oversee day-to-day operations of SIL homes
* Ensure compliance with NDIS standards and regulatory requirements
* Support community engagement and meaningful participation
* Build robust relationships with families, allied health professionals and stakeholders
* Manage incidents and risks, ensure participant safety and wellbeing at all times
Key Accountabilities
* Lead and coordinate support services aligned with NDIS plans
* Conduct house audits and manage medication compliance
* Support participants with daily living activities and routines
* Maintain accurate records and reporting in CRM system
* Implement continuous improvement initiatives
* Support staff development through feedback and performance management
About You
* Certificate III (or higher) in Disability, Community Services or related field
* Minimum 5 years' experience in the disability or related health sector
* Strong understanding of the NDIS framework
* Experience in risk assessment and incident management
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills
* Ability to work independently and within a team
* Diploma or higher qualification
* Experience managing SIL or residential services
* Knowledge of person-centred and active support approaches
* Understanding of restrictive practices
* Experience with CRM systems and rostering platforms
