We operate a multi-brand Australian retail store as well as our Mont International Store. Our e-commerce platforms play a central role in how customers experience our products, from discovery to purchase.

We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Data Specialist to focus on the data behind our business, helping drive decisions that align with company objectives and customer needs.

The role

This is a data-heavy role focused on analysing, maintaining and optimising product, inventory and sales information across Mont Adventure Equipment retail, wholesale and online operations,guiding the merchandising and product strategies ofboth ouronlineandphysicalstores.

You will work closely with marketing, admin, retail, operations and technical teams to update large datasets into actionable insights, support forecasting and inventory planning, and guide the merchandising and product strategies of our online stores.

This role suits someone who is comfortable with numbers, systems, and translating data into clear recommendations that directly impact the business.

Core responsibilities

* Manage the upload, maintenance and quality control of product data from NetSuite to Shopify via mass uploads.
* Prepare and maintain CSV files, ensuring accuracy across SKUs, pricing, variants, inventory, product attributes and metadata.
* Identify and resolve data discrepancies between ERP and Shopify.
* Support seasonal product launches, updates and product retirements.
* Maintain product taxonomy, tagging and collections to support navigation, filtering and merchandising.
* Analyse product data from NetSuite and Shopify to identify trends, gaps and opportunities.

Inventory analysis & forecasting

* Monitor stock levels, sales velocity and product performance to provide accurate inventory forecasts.
* Analyse seasonal and campaign demand to support buying decisions and minimise overstock or stockouts.
* Build and maintain dashboards to communicate trends, forecasts and KPIs to relevant teams.
* Support company objectives by providing actionable insights that guide product, inventory and promotional strategies.
* Work within NetSuite and other internal systems to extract, update and validate product information.
* Understand and support ongoing work on API connectors to enhance integration between systems.
* Assist in improving and testing workflows between ERP, Shopify and third-party tools.
* Collaborate with technical partners to develop reporting solutions and streamline data processes.

Reporting & insights

* Produce regular reports on product performance, inventory health, sales trends and campaign effectiveness.
* Identify anomalies or opportunities in data to inform business decisions.
* Communicate findings by building dashboards that drive clear recommendations for cross-team use.

Collaborate across teams

* Work closely with marketing, admin, retail, operations, customer service, finance and data teams to ensure insights are aligned with business objectives.
* Support the rollout of data-driven decisions across product, merchandising and inventory initiatives.
* Translate complex datasets into actionable insights for multiple teams and business units.

Preferred background

* Experience analysing data of a similar industry including, customer service, logistics, e-commerce, or retail operations.
* Comfort managing large datasets and producing actionable insights.
* Familiarity with Shopify and ERPs, ideally NetSuite.
* Experience building dashboards and reporting tools (Power BI or similar).
* Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisation skills.
* Work in a growing, values-led Australian brand with a focus on durability, sustainability and trust.
