Our client is a global Tier 1 contractor delivering large-scale renewable and transmission projects across Australia, including solar farms, wind farms, and major BESS developments.
As part of their continued investment to bring electrical design and control capability in-house, they’re growing their engineering team with an Electrical Control System Engineer to support the Principals & Lead Engineers with the control, protection, and integration design for a major BESS project in Sydney.
Salary: up to $150k base +

Key Responsibilities
- Lead design, control, and implementation of electrical and control systems for large-scale BESS and renewable projects
- Planning, design, implementation, testing and commissioning on HV PLC & SCADA Systems
- Perform power system analysis, equipment sizing, and control integration between BESS, PV, and grid connection points
- Coordinate with AEMO, NSPs, and clients to ensure compliance with NER and grid connection requirements
About You
- 3+ years’ experience in control systems design, SCADA, and communications for utility-scale energy projects
- Robust knowledge of Australian Standards, AEMO, and NER requirements
- Proficient in AutoCAD, ETAP, and/or DigSilent
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- CPEng or eligibility preferred
