Clinical Manager – Aged Care – Relocate to Busselton
$135,000 per yr + super + salary packaging.
Capecare is a leading provider of aged care and accommodation services for seniors across the Southwest region of Western Australia. Located in Busselton on the shores of Geographe Bay and a second site in Dunsborough, we offer a supportive environment for residents and families.
About the Role
Capecare is looking for a full‐time Clinical Manager to oversee the delivery of high‐quality care to our residents, providing strong clinical leadership and guidance to the care team.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical support and mentorship to the clinical and care teams to ensure high‐quality care.
* Support the staff performance management process, including counselling, probation and performance reviews.
* Participate in recruitment of Registered and Enrolled Nurses and care staff.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with residents and their representatives.
* Coordinate and chair the weekly multidisciplinary team meeting (MDT) and quarterly Medication Advisory Committee (MAC).
* Manage complaints and incidents, ensuring robust incident management and open disclosure processes.
* Ensure accurate and timely documentation, AN‐ACC reviews, monthly audits and wound‐management framework compliance.
* Support fare/family conferences, address family dynamics or concerns.
* Oversee clinical risk, including SIRS and high‐risk/high‐prevalence events, and escalations.
* Coordinate the admissions process and review and develop policies, procedures and guidelines.
* Support the Residential Manager in implementing new or amended practices.
* Monitor resident/family feedback and contribute to continuous improvement.
* Consult with medical practitioners, allied health and other professionals to ensure positive care outcomes.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical leadership role.
* Demonstrated senior leadership experience in aged care or a related field.
* Knowledge of the Aged Care Act and Standards.
