Position: Mechanical Tradesperson

Pay Rate: $67.83 ph. plus Super
Hours per week: 38

About the Role
In this hands-on position, you'll be responsible for delivering complex mechanical services including installation, maintenance, testing, fault-finding, repair and commissioning of assets across the facility. Working within the Operations Group, you'll support both scheduled and reactive maintenance while contributing to a safe, efficient, and high-performing work environment.
Duties
* Based at the Woodman Point Water Resource Recovery facility so will be working around wastewater
* Undertake scheduled and unscheduled mechanical maintenance on water and wastewater systems
* Perform complex isolation and shutdown procedures
* Diagnose faults using SCADA and other remote data systems
* Plan, prepare, and execute maintenance projects
* Mentor apprentices and support operators with mechanical guidance
* Coordinate work on-site and supervise contractors as required
* Liaise with engineers to resolve complex technical issues
* Support daily operational priorities and participate in call-out rosters
Essential Requirements
* Mechanical Trade Certificate – Fitter (Turner/Machinist)
* WA MR Class Driver's Licence
* Construction White Card
* First Aid Certificate
* Dogman Ticket
* Confined Space Entry competency
* SCBA & atmospheric monitoring competency
* Strong experience in pumping systems, hydraulics and gas chlorination
* Competent in Word, Excel and Outlook
* Water industry experience (preferred)
Desirable
* HR Class Driver's Licence
* Under 10 tonne Hiab crane ticket
