About Our School
St Thomas More College is a Brisbane Catholic Education co-educational secondary college catering for approximately 1150 students. Our college opened in 1974 and from inception developed a strong commitment to the pastoral care of students. Summary
Step into a key VET support role at St Thomas More College, driving high‐quality vocational programs, work placements, and student opportunities.

* Location: St Thomas More College - Sunnybank (S)
* Start date: Commencing June 2026
* Work hours: 38 hours per week
* Salary level: School Officer Level 4- $36.98/hour + super (School Salary Scale)
* Status: Term Time Continuing (School holidays are unpaid)

About The Opportunity St Thomas More College, Sunnybank is seeking a highly organised School Administrator to join us in a permanent role as Senior Admin Support Officer (VET). Working closely with the Middle Leader – VET Pathways, this position supports all VET‐related activities, coordinates student work placements, manages careers‐expo logistics, and oversees VET compliance and documentation. In This Position You Will Be Responsible For
* Providing administrative and operational support and advice on a diverse range of matters
* Developing and/or administering processes and procedures and responding to enquiries
* Monitoring service delivery to identify efficiencies and ensure compliance with government and departmental legislation, directives, policies and standards
* Facilitating work to meet deadlines and commitments and to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
* Supervising and training support staff as required, ensuring high standards of administrative support
* Manage student work placements, oversee careers‐expo logistics, and maintain accurate VET documentation to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.
About You To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
* Having provided a wide variety of administrative and operational support
* Coordinating tasks to meet deadlines and commitments, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery
* Advising on administrative tasks and processes, driving process improvements
* Understanding of compliance within a school and delivering on relevant legislation, policy and procedures
* Led and supported administrative staff, ensuring their smooth onboarding and providing effective training for optimal performance
* For this position you are not required to be Catholic

* Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
* Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
