Key Objectives:
The successful candidate will oversee the CEO’s employment lifecycle, encompassing recruitment, reappointment, performance monitoring, remuneration, and contract management.
Responsibilities:
* Guide the CEO Employment and Remuneration Committee through key stages
* Ensure processes are transparent, consistent, and aligned with legislative requirements and best practices
* Provide independent advice and guidance to the committee
* Support the committee in achieving fair and accountable outcomes
Required Expertise:
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Strong leadership and governance expertise
* Executive-level experience, preferably in local government or a similar sector
* Proven capability in executive recruitment, contract oversight, and performance reviews
* Ability to provide high-quality, independent advice and guidance
* Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with Councillors and the CEO

Former Council members, current or former local government CEOs, senior executives with governance and recruitment expertise, and respected community leaders with relevant experience.
