Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Cumberland and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. **What you'll be doing**
The purpose of this position is to support and enable the improvement of the health and wellbeing of people living in Western Sydney through effective marketing and communications that maximise impact, meet health literacy needs, and support health behaviour change interventions relevant to the western Sydney population. This position is responsible for ensuring these strategies are in line with the Ministry of Health and Western Sydney Local Health District's (WSLHD) goals, principles and strategies and the NSW All-of-Government communication frameworks.
This position is responsible for overseeing the development, delivery and evaluation of a range of customer-centric, relevant and effective communications and social marketing strategies, in collaboration with the Health Promotion team, which contribute to achieving identified project outcomes and the strategic objectives of the WSLHD Health Promotion service.
The position is responsible for the development and support of integrated marketing, communication and engagement strategies for current and future WSLHD Health Promotion population health programs and services including, but not limited to, healthy eating active living across the lifespan, and smoke-free and e-cigarette initiatives. Building the communications capacity of Health Promotion staff and the development and maintenance of key partnerships and relationships are key to success. This position will involve extensive relationships with partners inside and outside the Local Health District (LHD), including but not limited to other health professionals, education providers, government and non-government organisations (NGOs); local government; General Practitioners, the private sector and in particular the community. The position also works closely with WSLHD Population Health staff, WSLHD Corporate Communications, Design and Print Companies, and the NSW Ministry of Health.

**Selection Criteria**:
- Tertiary qualification marketing, communications, health promotion, public health or other relevant degree.
- Demonstrated high level skills in developing, implementing and evaluating comprehensive marketing and communication strategies informed by evidence, data and audience insights.
- Demonstrated high level problem solving skills with the ability to critically analyse complex issues, problem solve and formulate new approaches to achieve results with a proven capacity to prioritise and multitask in a demanding work environment.
- Demonstrated high level skills in developing marketing and communication plans, project management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation directed at reaching and measuring identified targets/goals/objectives.
- Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships and formal partnerships with stakeholders, communities and organisations both internal and external including working as part of a team.
- Understanding of issues that impact on service delivery in relation to social disadvantage, Aboriginal and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities.
