We an opportunity in the in Wagga Wagga NSW for an Acting Team Leader – Disability to join our dynamic team. This position is for a 6mth period form date of commencement.
Kirinari is a highly reputable and respected disability support service providing essential care and high-quality support to enrich the lives of our customers. Kirinari employ over 1300 staff in various regions across VIC, NSW and TAS.
About the Position
As a Team Leader, you will oversee the implementation of individualised supports within a supported independent living accommodation settings (SIL/Group Homes). You will strengthen the knowledge and abilities of our Support Worker team to ensure a person-centered and high-quality culture within the program.
You will provide direct support and lead your team across a range of customer needs including; domestic and personal care assistance as well as assisting our customers to access and have a positive connection to the community. This position ensures the operation of an allotted SIL/s with administrative functions whilst providing leadership and mentoring to a team of Disability Support Workers to support and develop skill capacity.
This position will be leading a team in our house that has X customers requiring X support.
This position is part-time permanent working a minimum of x hours per fortnight and will commence as soon as practicable.
About You
o Previous experience in the Health Sector is highly regarded
o Cert 4 or higher in a related field
o Demonstrated leadership/managment experience is highly regarded
o Ability and willingness to work shift work, regular sleepovers/active nights, weekends and public/school holidays with significant availability
o Resilience, confidence and the ability to work independently and as a team
o Strong communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships
o Ability to obtain the NDIS Workers Screen Check prior to commencement
o Ability to obtain a paid NSW Working with Children Check prior to commencement
o Ability to use computers and learn a variety of software/programs
o Smart Phone
o Current Driver's Licence
